Travel Insights: the online travel writing communityWELCOME to Travel Insights - a place to come and be inspired. Inspired to write and inspired to travel. For escapism with bite, Travel Writing will whisk you away to the bars of Thailand (where Connect 4 is a lot bigger than you might imagine), lead you into the deserts of Egypt, or put you on the trail of Rembrandt in Amsterdam. We have articles, travelogues, and our new section: Urban Postcards. If our destinations don't grab you, then head over to our brand new sister site Travel Literature for travel book reviews, covering the popular, the historical and the unusual. We're also building a directory of the world's best travel bookshops. Enough armchair reading. We hope we can inspire you to shut down the computer and go on a trip. Travel Guides should be your first port of call. We don't claim to have visited every hotel, bar or restaurant personally, but we do claim to do more than just steal other people's lists! And we welcome your help. If you have a to submit of anywhere at all drop us a line, there is also a URL submission form at the end of every page in this section. In fact that is the whole point of Travel Insights. In our more pretentious moments we like to think of ourselves as a travel community. If you think you have an interesting story to tell, or if you are planning a trip and would like to publish a journal or travelogue as you go, then look at our Submission Guidelines for more details on what we expect from you and of course what you can expect from us. Until then - happy reading, and happy travelling
