Travelogues

TRAVELOGUES (or travelogs as some people prefer spelling it) have been given a whole new lease of life with the web. With little more than a laptop or a handheld computer travellers can link up to a server and record the adventures of the day with minimal effort.

Travel Insights can be your online travelogue partner. Setting up and maintaining a travelogue site can be a pain, and if you want more than your closest friends to pay it any attention then you really have a struggle. So why not make use of an established travel writing site such as Travel Insights and its Travelogue section. See our Submission Guidelines for more information, and let us take the strain of your online travelogue so that you can get on and enjoy the travelling. After all, that is why you are going isn't it?

Travelogues in progress
Please get in touch if you'd like Travel Insights to host your travelogue while you're on the road. Or do what Eric and Dan did below and spend a bit of time editing those e-mails home and submit after the event.

Completed Travelogues - the online archive
Vodka in the Sun with Eric D. Goodman.
It's summer 2002, and Russophile Eric explores Moscow, Nizhni Novgorod and St. Petersburg. Read about Russia's great cities from someone who really understands what's going on.

Round the World with Dan Hodson.
Dan's travels took in the crowds and traffic of Chennai, India; the calm tranquility of Japan; the magical beauty of New Zealand; and the out-and-out gaudiness of Las Vegas. Follow Dan on his adventures and find out if he ever stops eating fantastic food.
